Tamara Deborah Morrow, “Boo Boo”, was born on August 18, 1956 in Newport, Oregon, and crossed over on February 4, 2010 at Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon at the age of 53. In 1975, Tamara graduated from Waldport High School. In 1979 she married Aaron Ralph Morrow and gave birth to two children, Stephanie Jo Mariah Chamberlin and Joshua Blaine Morrow. They raised their children in Vancouver, Washington until 1994 when they moved to Yachats, Oregon. She was employed by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians as a Housing Occupancy Specialist.
She was a member of the Waldport Woman’s Bowling League, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, served as Chairman of SCHC Health Committee, participated in Relay for Life, and Walk for Diabetes. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending every moment with her grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Madge Mason; brothers, Terry Mason, Paul Mason and Todd Mason. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Jo Mariah Chamberlin; son-in-law Ryan Wood Chamberlin; grandson, Mason Marcus Chamberlin all of Waldport, OR; son, Joshua Blaine Morrow, of Yachats, OR;. Brother, Tim Mason of Siletz, Tad (Belinda Boy Sun) Mason of Dallas, OR; sisters, Sharon Mason of Siletz, OR, Pamela (Phil) Rilatos of Siletz, Dorene (Roger) Rialtos of Siletz, OR, Diane (Ed) Troyer of Siletz, OR, Cindy (Brian) Urbach of Newport, Judy (Karl) Payne of Siletz and Monica (Gary) Bessette of Tidewater, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call for visitation on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 1:00 PM – 5:00PM at Bateman Funeral Home, followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 6:00PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 231 Logsden Rd., Siletz, OR. On Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 1:00PM a Memorial Service will be held at the Siletz Tribal Community Center in Siletz with graveside committal services following at Eureka Cemetery, Newport, Oregon. All are welcome to a potluck luncheon at the Siletz Community Tribal Center following the graveside services. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
