Kay J. Ludlow
July 9, 1938 - September 19, 2009
Kay J. Ludlow was born July 9, 1938 in Akron, Ohio and entered into rest on September 19, 2009 in Waldport, OR at the age of 71. Kay graduated at Littleton High School in Littleton, CO and went on to receive her teaching diploma from Boise Jr. College. She taught for three years at Waldport Jr. High and Waldport Elementary Schools. A resident of Yachats and Waldport since 1971, Kay was the owner of The Tole Tree in Waldport and Yachats for 26 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of the National Tole Painting Association, became a Certified Decorative Artist, and is a member of the Oregon Coastal Quilters Guild. In 1984, Kay met Allen Morris Ludlow, a woodworking artist, and they were united in marriage in Reno, Nevada. Kay and Allen just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on August 21, 2009. Kay loved the outdoors and was particularly fond of fishing and camping. Kay is survived by her husband, Allen Morris Ludlow; daughters, Kimberly Randle and Mechelle Johnson; son, Doug Eisenbarth; grandchildren, Jodie Johnson, Ashley Randle, Bradley Johnson, Whitney Randle, Amber Johnson, Alicia Eisenbarth, and Jessie Nordyke; Step-granddaughter and son-in-law Carol and John Nordyke; former husband Jerry Eisenbarth (1958 -1983); and step-father, Joseph G. Stofsick. Kay is also survived by her Pomeranian canine companion, Coco. She is predeceased by her parents, Loren H. Gleason (1973) and Esther (Jones) Stofsick (1989).
